Hi there!

We are Thomas and Jess, the husband and wife team behind Watercolour Cottage Ceramics and we're so excited to share our passion for beautiful ceramic art with you.

We have built our little business together from the ground up, printing our tiles in our own kitchen through house moves and chaos! But we wouldn't have it any other way.

Thomas is a tech wizz who keeps all our equipment working perfectly, handles our shipping and our customer service; if you get in touch with us most likely it'll be Thomas you speak with 😊 Jess is a self taught artist and illustrator who designs and prints our products.

As an artist Jess is influenced by a passion for the natural world and quaint scenes of the British countryside. One style we personally loved when getting inspiration for our own house move and subsequent renovation is the 400 year-old tradition of Dutch Delftware, but with a more modern take on this process. We both soon felt the need to bring that warmth and beauty to our own home and wanted to share this with others.

Our Process

To create our tiles, Jess digitally hand-paints her designs layer by layer, using watercolour methods primarily and then adding fine detail with calligraphy style markers. These designs are then printed using sublimation ink and heat pressed onto ceramic, transferring the image into the tile, giving the beauty of hand painted tiles with the durability afforded by a modern method.

We offer a range of different corner styles to suit whatever style you prefer and we are always adding to our design collection.

Here each piece is more than just a tile, it's a work of art drawing inspiration from a range of sources, from the charm of the English countryside to the intrigue of exotic animals from around the world. We bring our digitally hand-painted designs to vivid life on ceramics, creating a unique blend of traditional craftmanship and modern technique.

Whether you're looking to add a touch of art to your home or a unique gift for someone special, we can't wait to share our creations with you!

Stay tuned for updates on new products, beautiful new designs and glimpses behind the scenes as we turn the beauty of nature into lasting art.

Many thanks,
